Inspiration My friend studying accounting spent his internship doing only repetitive invoice data entry in Excel. We wanted to make this experience more engaging for interns while saving time for companies.

What it does TrustAI extracts UAE invoice data (invoice number, subtotal, VAT, total, currency, date...) based on your structure, auto-generates Excel files, and self-improves over time, all while keeping data private.

How we built it We created a React frontend for uploads and previews, a FastAPI backend with multi-agent AI (Extraction, Validation, Reflection), OCR preprocessing (OpenCV + Tesseract), and local LLM inference (Llama 3 via Ollama).

Challenges we ran into Designing the self-improving loop, ensuring accurate VAT extraction, integrating Excel output, and keeping the system fully transparent and privacy-first.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully functional demo that extracts tax data, shows before/after improvements, and generates Excel outputs automatically without storing any sensitive company data.

What we learned How to combine OCR, local LLMs, and multi-agent orchestration, implement privacy-first AI, and make a workflow that is both practical and educational.

What's next for TrustAI Add more invoice formats, improve multi-language support, integrate with ERP systems, and expand analytics to give interns real-time feedback and insights.
