Inspiration

Managing large-scale fests or events in Mumbai often involves multiple teams, endless Excel sheets, and miscommunication. As a Python developer, I wanted to build something scalable for both colleges and corporate event management companies in Mumbai — a single digital solution to organize everything seamlessly.

That’s how the Trupp And Fest Website was born — a Django-based event management platform that helps organizers plan, promote, and manage their events efficiently.

What it does

Trupp And Fest acts as a centralized digital workspace for any event organizer or event management company in Mumbai. It enables:

Creating, scheduling, and managing multiple events.

Team registrations and participant coordination.

Admin dashboard for tracking attendance and results.

Real-time announcements and updates.

Responsive design for desktop and mobile.

For corporate event management company in Mumbai, this platform can be adapted to manage conferences, team-building activities, and training sessions efficiently.

How I built it

The platform was built using Python Django for the backend and Bootstrap + JavaScript for the frontend.

Tech stack includes:

Backend: Django Framework (Python)

Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap

Database: SQLite (upgrade-ready to PostgreSQL)

Core features:

Secure authentication and user roles (Admin, Organizer, Participant)

Event and team management modules

Integrated announcements and updates panel

User-friendly UI optimized for scalability

The platform architecture is modular, allowing future integration with APIs like payment gateways or analytics dashboards — making it suitable for both campus and corporate event planning.

Challenges I ran into

Designing a universal structure that works for both college and corporate event management scenarios.

Creating a robust login and registration flow that supports multiple user types.

Managing relational databases between events, teams, and participants efficiently.

Implementing real-time updates while keeping the interface lightweight.

These challenges helped me refine my understanding of Django ORM, modular coding, and clean UI/UX practices.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Built a fully functional event management platform from scratch.

Designed scalable backend architecture using Django.

Created an admin dashboard with advanced event control features.

Achieved cross-device responsiveness for smoother user experience.

Adapted the same platform for corporate event management companies in Mumbai with minimal changes.

What I learned

Through Trupp And Fest, I learned how event platforms demand efficiency, clarity, and security. This project strengthened my skills in:

Django’s full-stack capabilities.

API integrations and modular design.

Database optimization and relationship mapping.

UX-first development for event-based systems.

It also taught me the importance of understanding both student-focused and corporate event workflows — they share structure but differ in detail.

What's next for Trupp And Fest Website

Add payment gateway integration for paid events.

Implement real-time chat for teams and organizers.

Enable analytics dashboards for corporate reporting.

Offer a SaaS version for event management companies in Mumbai to manage client portfolios online.
