Inspiration - wanted to do something with voice generation, I wanted to give user an option to use voice typing instead of keyboard.

What it does - Its simple tool that helps the common man to use microphone instead of keyboard typing.

How we built it - Will start with android first as a mvp to see how it goes than spread across the stack

Challenges we ran into - Selection of AI model with good rates and text generation

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Speakline is a floating mic bubble that types your speech straight into any app, like WhatsApp, Gmail or Slack, with no keyboard switching or copy-paste. It works in 31 languages across three cloud engines with a backup, and its RevenueCat subscriptions are enforced on the server so a patched app can't unlock Pro.

What we learned

Measure on the real device instead of guessing from the code: every theory we had about our latency was wrong until logcat proved otherwise. We also learned that the worst Android bugs fail silently, and that entitlement decisions belong on the server, never the client.

What's next for TrueVoice

Faster time-to-text, then iOS and macOS on our shared Kotlin Multiplatform core. After that come optional AI cleanup, translation as its own feature, and a custom vocabulary for names and jargon.
