Inspiration
The idea came from a personal need. Existing wallet apps were filled with ads, required sign-ups, or forced cloud storage. I wanted a simple, private way to store important cards and documents offline.
What it does
True Wallet securely stores and organizes cards and documents completely offline. Users can add items by scanning, selecting from the gallery, or creating custom entries, search instantly, and favorite important cards. Premium adds unlimited storage, categories, a dark theme, and a quick-access scan button.
How we built it
Built with React Native (Expo) for cross-platform support. Data is stored locally using AsyncStorage and Expo FileSystem, ensuring nothing leaves the device. Features like camera scanning, search, and multi-language support were implemented with Expo libraries and custom components.
Challenges we ran into
Managing offline storage efficiently, implementing smooth card animations, and supporting 10 languages while keeping the app lightweight were key hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a fully offline, ad-free wallet that balances privacy, speed, and a clean design.

How to optimize local storage, handle multi-language support, and design a user experience that feels premium without relying on the cloud.
What's next for True Wallet
Adding encrypted backups, biometric security, and cross-device syncing while maintaining full user privacy.
