Inspiration came from MTV's "True Life" series that documents individual's addictions to things. In our case, Frankie is addicted to a music and its lifestyle called Tribal, which comes from Mexico.
How it works, myself and my classmate came up with an idea that would be fun to parody and explore in terms of culture. We made a screenplay, a script, developed a cast and grabbed a camera.
Challenges I ran into were learning how to use Avid as a video editing software for the first time and improvising scenes when we did not have the props, resources or people to complete it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of are how amusing this video came out to be, how we incorporated hastags # into the video itself like real TV, how well music works in this video, and how well I became at using Avid.
What I learned: how to use Avid, how to improvise on the spot, screenplay, script writing for video and working with actors.
What's next for True Life: I'm addicted to Tribal A Parody, a possible follow up with her addiction to Taylor Swift.
