Inspiration

I want to provide best experience for users and artists. Where are we different from other platforms : 1) If you want to stay anonymous as subscriber just use NEAR wallet
2) Artist will be paid instantly, after every subscription we have smart contract which will send 95% straight to the artist. No locked values, very simple rule. If someone subscribe or donate money it will go directly to the artist.

What it does

We are supporting artist to become independent. On our app they can share their content ( but they don't have to do it ) create subscription models, or accept one time donations from their fans. They can share content throughout our protocol and get money from their fans in 2. different ways. User can subscribe on monthly basis or give one time donation. Also what is very important user can stay anonymous if they want.
Payment will be processed through NEAR blockchain using Near coin or USDT. We have plan to include ETH & Sol in future.

How we built it

Firstly we will have MVP where artist can set their profile, chose specific category and connect wallet to their profile. Then they can share it on socials so then fans can donate NEAR tokens to them.
After MVP the first phase will contains sharing content. Currently its still investigation phase which solution to use. Should we use Filecoin/IPFS or Arweave or use centralized solution for this. But when we figure out this, phase 1 will start. So then we can be competitive to other platforms like Only Fans or Patreon
The second phase will includes multiple Crypto currencies like ETH, SOL or something similar. Near platform already have bridge for ETH so that is one of the reasons why we chose NEAR .
Third phase will includes building mobile app, currently everything will be web based.

Challenges we ran into

Currently biggest issue is how to store data. After user upload content where to keep that. Still not sure about solution, but IPFS or Arweave looks like our favorites.

Also we want to accomplish very simple UX for user. We think that users don't need to know that they are using blockchain. They just need to know rules of the game. So lending users will be also another big challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of that I create protocol which is working and I think that this really can help to the artist to become independent.

What we learned

We learned a lot about blockchain technologies. First Challenge was to pick proper blockchain where to build our app. We have to read a lot of docs from different blockchains. We are also learning about product development.
