Inspiration

After the Wayanad landslide, we wanted to help by donating to a fundraiser that turned out to be a scam, leading us to realize how vulnerable even the best intentions can be in fundraising. This experience inspired the creation of Trudo.

What it does

Trudo rewards individuals for their good deeds with unique NFTs that serve as proof of their contributions. These NFTs can be purchased, owned, and resold, allowing users to support fundraising efforts while potentially increasing their value.

How we built it

We created Trudo using React to build a user-friendly interface. To ensure transparency and security, we used blockchain technology and Web3, allowing users to easily manage their NFTs and contribute to fundraising efforts. For the backend, we turned to Firebase.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges related to version differences and package complexities, which made it tricky to integrate various libraries and frameworks. We also encountered compatibility issues with blockchain technology, which let to problems in the smart contracts and Web3 integrations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re have successfully integrated NFTs into Trudo, allowing users to earn and trade unique digital assets for their good deeds while ensuring that donations reach their intended causes. Our interface has made it easy for individuals to engage with the platform and we built a robust backend infrastructure using Firebase.

What we learned

We learned the importance of thorough testing and version management when integrating various libraries and frameworks to avoid compatibility issues. The experience highlighted the value of user feedback, helping us refine our interface. Finally, we discovered the potential of blockchain technology to enhance transparency and trust in fundraising.

What's next for Trudo - True Donation

We plan to enhance our platform by expanding the variety of causes users can support, allowing for more personalized and impactful donations. We also aim to incorporate gamification elements to incentivize community participation and encourage more good deeds. Finally, we will continue to optimize our technology, focusing on scalability and integration with other blockchain networks.
