Inspiration

I've always wondered what it would be like to play a game against AI. I drew inspiration from psychological visual novels, history, and the idea of man vs. machine—and wanted to combine them into a narrative-driven prototype that explores trust, persuasion, and AI adaptation.

What it does

TroyGPT is a mockup RPG where you face off against an AI character that responds to your choices, tracks how “convinced” it is, and adapts its tone as you interact with it.

How we built it

I made used Flask as my back end and basic HTML Js and Css for my front end.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was in configuring prompts and figuring out the logic behind guard ascension and failing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I brought the idea to life! Even as a mockup, it’s playable and shows the potential of what a face-off with AI could feel like.

What we learned

AI can power immersive storytelling—but it takes structure and testing to guide it well. Prototyping helped me understand that process firsthand.

What's next for TroyGPT

I plan to scale up using a stronger API, more memory, and custom visuals to enhance immersion and agency.
