Inspiration

I am a foreign language learner. I have learned French and Spanish through studying abroad. However, finding the right expression at the right moment was challenging for me. Google translate also did not function well with slow speed roaming when I was abroad.

What it does

It uses openai for translation of desired languages and helps users generate word document to save these.

How we built it

I used the openai API to get the translation part done and other library to generate word document. I used streamlit for front end.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into problem of not being able to save the text so that user has to copy and paste for word doc generation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of building something useful for fella foreign language students and enthusiasts.

What we learned

We learned foreign language acquision is fun!

What's next for TrouVe

We need to use the database for user history.
