Overview

TRiver is a token streaming platform for easy continuous transactions through automation. The goal is to facilitate continuous transactions over user-defined intervals, automating various financial activities such as salaries and subscriptions, which is especially valuable in DeFi. Built on the Lisk blockchain, the application leverages smart contracts to securely and efficiently handle token streaming functionalities. This solution aims to enhance user experience and operational efficiency, offering seamless, uninterrupted transactions with the security and transparency of blockchain technology. Overall, TRiver represents a significant advancement in the DeFi space, promising greater convenience and accessibility for users worldwide.

Inspiration

Most major subscription services do not offer crypto as a payment option for their services. Additionally, employers paying in crypto lack an easy way to load addresses and automate payments.

What it does

Our platform allows subscription services like Netflix to create their own modules on the platform, enabling users to subscribe to available services and automate payments. Employers can upload a CSV with employee addresses and amounts, select the payment interval, and automate salary payments.

How we built it

We used Chainlink upkeep for automation, Solidity for the smart contracts, Sepolia testnet for deployment, and React TypeScript for the frontend.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring the seamless integration of automated payments and maintaining the security and efficiency of the token streaming functionalities were major challenges.

Successfully implementing a user-friendly platform that automates financial activities in DeFi, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience.

What we learned

We gained insights into integrating blockchain technology with automated financial transactions, and the importance of security and reliability in DeFi applications.

What's next for Triver

We plan on onboarding more custom subscription-based services like Starlinks, subscriptions from network providers etc, where crypto users have a plethora of services with automatic token streaming.
