Inspiration

One day as we were playing Kahoot, we noticed that there were a lot of micro transactions which caused the site to seem very bloated and cash grabbing. We wanted to showcase our AI can be leveraged to create a fun experience without having to create subscription plans and payed quizzes, we wanted to showcase a fun game to our fellow students!

What it does

Our site takes in three main parameters, a topic for the quiz, an amount of questions, and then the difficulty, it then calls our back-end to create a set of questions and choices, this is passed to our front-end and we display it in a front manner for people who want to play! We wanted to deliver a fun experience that leveraged the power of AI!

How we built it

We built it by using FastAPI for the back-end, in our back-end we pass our user query to the LLM which then generates a set of questions, this is then passed to our front-end made in Next-JS, it adds looks and functionality to make our game fun for everyone!

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into were:

  1. Integrating our back-end and front-end, we needed to make sure we could create a fun experience without removing the features we had at the moment.
  2. Adding fun functionality to make TrivAI really same like a game, this led us to have to think what looks better on the eyes, and what people would want to play more!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of a few things:

  1. We managed to integrate what our quiz back-end with our front-end, this allowed us to create a fun game!
  2. Teamwork! We managed to work together well despite not knowing each other well, we are really proud of what we managed to do!

What we learned

We learned how to team up with new people in an effective manner, while making sure we stuck to our goals and communicated well!

What's next for TrivAI

We aim to integrate several features:

  1. Integrate Eleven Labs for a better user experience!
  2. Rankings to make things more fun and hardcore!
  3. File upload to get quizzes based on your data!
