The travel problem our project solves.

Tripsafe.co is creating the infrastructure to support a greater freedom of movement for tomorrow's traveller. During our research and discovery phase, Airlines bought to our attention other sectors in the safety of travel which also needed addressing.

These current systems are extremely out of date and are becoming a burden on the operational running of these airlines. So as a part of the travelscrum challenge we are focusing on a solution for these groups.

What it does

The tripsafe.co app is focusing on a module that digitises unaccompanied minors and assisted travellers for all suppliers across the ecosystem. It allows the travellers to be pre verified along with guardians who may need to submit their personal ID in a secured and trusting format along with live check in updates for all parties concerned.

How I would build it?

With the front end we decided on reactJS for the supplier interface and reactnative for the travellers application on both Android & IOS platforms. With the backend we are using laravel to build an API for our own SDK. We have made sure that high security and quick response are at the forefront of the build. All of this is built on AWS as it adheres to all local data compliance and Google’s firebase to on-board customers more efficiently.

What are we proud of?

That our module can greatly reduce the operational cost of airlines, improve the overall travel experience for these sectors of the travel community and provide a product that works across multiple carriers and their networks, along with airports, ground staff and foreign ministries.

What is the next step?

Regards the module design, we would look at incorporating interactive airport maps to allow assisted travellers to move freely. IE where are the wheelchair access points, lifts and so on. From turning this into a usable product our next step would be to connect with people or companies who are looking for a solution to improve their customers well being or improve their duty of care for their employees. Tripsafe is aiming to become a fully scalable global travel safety solution and we want to start the discussion and be apart of the solution.
