Inspiration

Going back to the Tumblr days of Mood Boards, what if we could merge the styles that we're inspired by with our own current style? We want to make exploring fashion as accessible and easy for consumers as possible.

What it does

This application allows you to build a representation of your personal style with images that inspire you, cultivating a mood board exactly tailor fit to your fashion taste. Aritzia will then suggest products that fit your aesthetic allowing you to develop your wardrobe based on the images you've uploaded which can include outfits found on TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest.

How we built it

We used Python Flask for the front-end and a Google Vision API for feature extraction for the back-end.

Challenges we ran into

  • Ensuring that we selected useful features to detect and determining the proper technology to use for this

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Having a nice looking prototype
  • Finishing most of the front end

What we learned

  • A better understanding of how fashion ties in with technology
  • Time management is important!
