Inspiration
We found inspiration from the NHS Mood Self Assessment test online (https://assets.nhs.uk/tools/self-assessments/index.mob.html?cookie_consent=true&variant=44), it showed that a simple online survey could produce actually tangible results and provide a reliable self-diagnosis result. We wanted to do the same, but with greater variety.
What it does
Our website survey takes in the data the user gives and presents an accurate description of what they may be experiencing. The data may take a few moments to sift through so our diagnosis will be sent to the user's provided email as soon as it finishes.
How we built it
We built the website using HTML and CSS for the front-end and JavaScript for the back-end. We also used Github Pages to set the website up.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were the time constraints. We realized we should have managed our time more wisely and sought out priorities to be able to connect with one another online at a single time. Actually setting up the website was quite difficult at times as well when the website wouldn't save after committing new changes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we got a working survey website up and running from a team that has just got together, and we are proud of the contributions of each and every team member.
What we learned
We learned more about the inner workings of HTML and CSS, and we learned quite a few new HTML tags we haven't seen used before. We also learned a lot of JavaScript. Not to mention the diseases and disorders, and their respective symptoms we had to research.
What's next for Triple A-J
On the website side, we plan to create more effective and better looking pages, more interactive features, and multiple pages under one domain. We also are planning to create other types of projects , including games (which we have some experience in) and applications to continue helping the world one innovation at a time.
