Inspiration
We wanted to create a travel website that recommends the users specific interest in weather, activites, and scenery.
What it does
The website takes in the user's preferences and outputs locations that they may want to visit.
How we built it
We built the project using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We used VS Code to run and compile our website.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into was using an API to save and get data from our website. All of our members are unfamiliar with API's and we were unsure how to implement them. We had little time left with what we had to implement and learn them, along with working with only having 3 members. This was the greatest challenge we faced.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our biggest accomplishment was creating a project based in HTML,CSS, and Javascript. Most of our members didn't know HTML, CSS, Javascript, Git, and Github. None of us created a website before as well. We all learned some front end and back end coding, along with how to use Git and Github. This was our biggest accomplishment.
What we learned
We learned alot about JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git, Github, Front end coding, Back end, and how to make new friends.
What's next for TripGuru
TripGuru would get more places added to it, along with more categories for users to have more options for the places they would want to go. TripGuru's UI would be revamped to make it look more appealing than it already does. We would also implement some more database and API code to make it more reactive.
