Inspiration
We were inspired by our own travel experiences, often finding it difficult to plan trips efficiently. We wanted to create a solution that simplifies the process and provides personalized itineraries.
What it does
TripGenius generates personalized day-by-day travel itineraries based on user input, including destination, dates, and traveler information. It also creates visually appealing representations of the itinerary.
How we built it
We built TripGenius using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies. The front-end was developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while the back-end utilized Python for processing user input and generating itineraries.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges we faced was integrating the different components seamlessly. Ensuring that the user interface was intuitive and responsive while also generating accurate itineraries was a complex task.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of creating a functional prototype that successfully generates personalized travel itineraries and visually stunning representations. Additionally, we're proud of overcoming various technical challenges throughout the development process.
What we learned
Through building TripGenius, we learned the importance of effective collaboration, problem-solving, and user-centric design. We also gained valuable experience in front-end and back-end development, as well as project management.
What's next for TripGenius
In the future, we plan to further refine TripGenius by incorporating additional features such as real-time weather updates, restaurant recommendations, and integration with booking platforms. We also aim to conduct user testing to gather feedback and improve the overall user experience.
