Inspiration

We wanted to make travel planning easier. Everyone loves trips, but building an itinerary is time-consuming. So we built a tool that does it for you.

What it does

TripGenie creates custom travel plans based on your destination, budget, and preferences. You get a full daily itinerary with maps and estimated costs in seconds.

How we built it

We built it with a GEMINI API, Tailwind CSS for an amazing UI, and javascript for functionality

Challenges we ran into

Formatting the AI responses into clean, realistic plans was tricky. Keeping the plan under budget took lots of prompt tweaking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully working AI trip planner in under 48 hours Clean, usable UI with real-time itinerary generation Successfully kept plans within budget constraints Integrated Google Maps links for real-world utility
