Inspiration
We wanted to come out with a website that can integrate the booking of flights, booking of accommodations and generating the perfect itinerary altogether! We have taken inspiration from the Singapore Airlines website, the AirBnb website, Wanderlog and Trip.com
What it does
- book flights
- book accommodations
- craft out a recommended itinerary for you so that it saves you the hassle of planning
- recommends the fastest flight routes
- recommends the best flights
How we built it
- frontend: HTML, CSS, Javascript (with React.js)
- backend: Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB
Challenges we ran into
- It was hard to get familiar with the React and Node frameworks as we are unfamiliar with them
- It was hard to build the website that looked decent initially
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We managed to get familiar with the framworks eventually
- We are all agreeable to how the website should look like
What we learned
- To not give up amidst hard situations
What's next for TripEase
- To come out with a potential AI itinerary planner that will cater to one's needs
