Our inspirations are the young travelers who love to explore new places according to their desires within a short time and a limited budget.

What it does

It helps travelers to find the best route to explore according to their recommendations. It is very easy to use. It will ask some questions to the traveler, like, "how many days you want to visit there? What kind of places you like most?" and keep the data to study the traveler's requirement. It will also show some pictures of different places and the tourist can select

How we built it

We wanted to make it fun and easy to use, that's why we build it in a chatbot. We built it using the Microsoft Azure platform. Our language of choice was Node.js. The team leveraged the Skyscanner API to provide travel ticket prices for users.

Challenges we ran into-

The first challenge was our different technological backgrounds and that made it difficult to pick a programming language. We also had some initial network challenges with the bot emulator which was supposed to serve as the local server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

First and foremost, we successfully built a chatbot that we hope to test with real users after the hackathon. We are proud that we were able to leverage Microsoft and Skyscanner's products to build our chatbot in a short time. We successfully build that chatbot.

What we learned

From a technological standpoint, we learned how to build a chatbot and utilize API's. This involved generating an idea, project design and project implementation.

What's next for Tripcommend

We plan to test it out with real users. This may involve collaborating with tourist organizations like Copenhagen Card, so real users can test out the product.
