Inspiration

We were inspired by the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game show. But instead of featuring a competition for money, we decided to create a space-themed trivia game that takes you on an exciting journey to the moon with each correct answer propelling you forward!

What it does

Our web app is a trivia game that serves as a fun way to educate elementary and middle schoolers about the wonders of space.

How we built it

We built the app using the React library alongside Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Challenges we ran into

A few of the challenges we encountered were integrating each other's code via Github, time constraints limiting our creative flexibility, and debugging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

First and foremost, we are proud of our collaborative effort. Although we all come from different academic backgrounds and have different skills, we were able to work together to envision and create a unique game in less than 2 days.

What we learned

We learned how to work collaboratively with Github and how to use the React library (i.e. components, useState, useEffect).

What's next for your team

We plan to participate in another hackathon in the future and tackle natural disaster issues like flooding and drought.
