Inspiration
As college students in the process of planning for our spring break, we realized that there hasn't been an efficient platform
What it does
Firstly, this app allows users to create a travel plan by first choosing the duration (number of days) of the trip. Users can either view the overall plan in the form of a table or detailed plan by clicking on individual days. Then, the users can input itinerary details.
Another function is the spending tracker, in which users can log their expenses for the trip and manage their financial situation.

We used react, javascript, html, css, bootstrap
What's next for Trip planner and expense tracker
If we have the opportunity, we would want to implement the following additional features/functions
- Include a line charts to view daily spending through out the trip (excluding the initial expenses of accommodation and travel to the destination) and a pie chart to view the different categories of expenses.
- Add pictures and comments to ascites
- Hotel name/flight info, linked with booking websites
- Map of daily travel plan
- Split money between friends (who paid what -> calculate after trip)
- Warning if the user reaches close to the budget.
