Inspiration

We wanted to combine two passions, exploring new places and staying stylish while doing it. While travel guides help you find destinations and fashion vibe matcher help you pick outfits, With AI becoming smarter, we thought, “Why not let it be our personal travel and style concierge?” That’s how Trip & Drip was born.

What it does

Trip & Drip suggests your next travel destination and fashion brands/outfits tailored to your preferences. Using Google’s Gemini AI, it analyzes your style choices, budget, and travel interests to recommend where you should go next and what you should wear, so you’re ready for both Instagram-worthy adventures and killer travel fits.

How we built it

Frontend: Built with Next.js for a smooth, interactive user experience. Backend: Node.js to handle API requests and business logic. AI Integration: Gemini API to generate personalized travel and fashion suggestions. Styling: CSS for fast, responsive design.

Challenges we ran into

  • Getting Gemini to output concise yet meaningful recommendations instead of overly generic answers.
  • Finding reliable and diverse data sources for travel and fashion.
  • Balancing the UI to make it fun yet functional without overwhelming the user. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
