The Internet can be a scary place sometimes. Trigware scans through websites before you do, and lets you know if there is anything that might be triggering.
We were motivated to create an app that would promote mental health, especially considering that it is Mental Health Month. Internet users are becoming younger and younger, and we are striving to create a safety net that will protect users from premature, unnecessary, explicit, and/or "triggering" content.
Trigware is an extension that will search through a webpage for any words that are deemed "triggering" (we compiled a database of words that we collected from online directories), it will alert the user prior to them accessing the page and let them know that the page contains triggering words. They will then either decide whether they would not like to access the page and be returned to their prior page or they can choose to access the page at their own discretion.
