Inspiration

Halloween is a traditional event and has been celebrated for a long time. We were looking if technology can contribute to the way it is celebrated. And we also know that technologies always assist us in creating the desired atmosphere and enjoying it from a new perspective. Using technology we put up a twist on traditional Halloween events and make them more interesting.

What it does

We have two different modes in our UI. We have a scary mode where we can get an amazing scare 3D mode where Ghosts hang around here and there inside the VR. And we have another mode where we have a voice-activated system where users will say "Trick or Treat" to get full bowl of 3D candies.

How we built it

We built our project by using Three JS which lets to include 3D models like obj, fbx file in our project. We integrated voice recognition to recognize voice "trick-or-treating". For UI we used HTML, CSS, Bootstrap.

Challenges we ran into

To use voice detection technology. We had to integrate our 3D model to display in a website which was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We used VR technology in Hackathon and built cool stuff and learned a lot during it. And despite being such a complex project we completed it in time.

What we learned

We learned voice recognition and its integration in website. We also learned about Web XR and Three.js. We learned to integrate three D models in website.

What's next for Trick-or-Treat

We plan to make our website more spooky and interactive in future. We plan to make our project like a game where story is told and then user has to complete some levels to get a bowl of candies.
