Inspiration
Code review is useful but dull. I wanted it to feel like a story you actually want to read, so your code stands trial in a courtroom.
What it does
Submit code (or pick a demo case) and three owls take over: a Prosecutor Owl attacks weaknesses, a Defense Owl defends, and a Chief Justice Owl rules. You can lodge an OBJECTION! during the debate and the judge rules Sustained or Overruled. At the end you get a verdict stamp, a Code Health Score, a category breakdown (Logic, Security, Maintainability) and ranked fixes. Cases are saved in History and can be downloaded as a Markdown Case Report.
How we built it
Next.js (App Router), TypeScript and Tailwind. One zod-validated Gemini call builds the whole case, with a small extra call per objection. All LLM calls are server-side only. Demo Mode runs fully offline. Deployed on Vercel. Built solo from an empty folder using the Devpost Learn skills.
Challenges we ran into
Keeping the debate fun while the output stays structured and validated, and shipping everything solo as a beginner.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A complete, deployed app built solo: courtroom debate with an OBJECTION! moment, verdict with Code Health Score, History, and a downloadable Case Report.
What we learned
Planning with scope, PRD and spec documents, working with a coding agent, and deploying a full-stack app.
What's next for Tribunal
Live Appeal (rewrite code and re-score it), GitHub URL mode, and PDF export.
