A myth-inspired fantasy short film created entirely with modern GenAI tools. It blends Baltic prehistory, ancient languages, and mythology into a visual journey across reconstructed landscapes.

Inspiration

The core concept wasn’t directly inspired by anything—I simply had it in my head.
However, the legendary aspect was influenced by Lithuania’s most famous painter and composer, M. K. Čiurlionis.

What It Does

It highlights Lithuanian as a highly archaic Indo-European language by comparing it to Vedic Sanskrit.

Challenges We Ran Into

GenAI video models are improving faster than I can make films like this. Keeping the first shots at the same level of quality as the final ones is extremely difficult.

Accomplishments We’re Proud Of

I’m most proud of the third act: creating the legend was very enjoyable, and several of the more realistic shots came together beautifully.

What We Learned

Every project evolves over time. This one began as a simple test of VEO 3.0 and grew into the most advanced AI short film I’ve created so far.
VEO 3.0 especially impressed me, after it brought a mammoth back to life in one of the tests, I just kept building more and more shots.

I’m really happy with everything I learned during this project from a technical perspective. I finally feel ready to finish some of my more conversation-heavy projects that I struggled with in the past.

What’s Next for Trespassers & Connecting Worlds

I create a Lithuania-related short film every year, but this one was made with both local competitions and the Chroma Awards in mind—hence its scale.
Next year I might create something less complex and explore a different theme as my main project of the year.
