Inspiration
My work experience in textile manufacturing and supply chain management inspired me to bridge the gap between customer feedback and fast fashion production. Seeing how fast fashion brands like Shein rapidly adapt to trends, I wanted to create an AI-driven solution that enhances this process by providing real-time insights from customers directly to manufacturers.
What it does
Collect immediate feedback: Ask targeted questions regarding product fit, design, quality, and user satisfaction. Offer personalized recommendations: Based on a user’s interaction and purchase history, the bot can suggest complementary items or alternative styles. Bridge operations with production: Route collected insights in real time to manufacturing partners so that product adjustments can be made quickly. This creates a direct link between market sentiment and production line adjustments.
How I built it
I built the chatbot using Copilot Studio, leveraging its AI-driven conversation capabilities to create an interactive and intuitive user experience. I designed the chatbot’s workflow to collect customer feedback on product fit, style preferences, and quality, then structured the data for easy analysis. Using Copilot Studio’s integrations, I linked the chatbot to a centralized dashboard where manufacturers can access real-time insights. Additionally, I incorporated automated responses and decision-making logic to ensure the chatbot provides personalized yet scalable interactions.
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge was structuring the chatbot’s conversation flow to ensure meaningful and accurate data collection while maintaining a natural user experience. Another challenge was integrating AI feedback loops with production schedules, as real-world implementation would require seamless coordination between e-commerce platforms and manufacturers. Additionally, balancing personalization with automation without overwhelming the user was a key design hurdle.
What we learned
Through this project, I deepened my understanding of AI-driven data collection, chatbot development, and how consumer insights can directly impact supply chain efficiency. I also explored how predictive analytics and automation can reduce overproduction, minimize waste, and streamline inventory management.
