Inspiration

We wanted to build a product with market value, so we did our best to find an idea that can have an impact. Yavuz is a Tiktoker, Ahmet used to be an Amazon seller, and Kaan is good with data. So we came up with the idea to analyze Tiktok data in a way Amazon dropshippers might find useful.

What it does

Two things:

1) Our product provides timely notifications about trending videos on niche subjects of our users' choice, so that our users can get ideas about which items they might dropship on Shopify and Amazon, and be the first one doing it.

2) On our website, we display trending Tiktok videos relevant to marketing organized by subject. Thus we aim to offer users a summary of many Tiktok searches, saving them time.

How we built it

We built our website using Wordpress and used the Tiktok Api by David Teather to scrape publicly available data from Tiktok. For our first solution, we track the viewcounts and like counts of videos and record it when there is a sudden increase in their numbers. For our second solution, we retrieve the best performing videos under an optimized pool of hashtags on a subject to find the categorize the videos.
