Trendify-Your Design Buddy

Inspiration As a designer and programmer, I’ve often seen creators struggle with transforming their ideas into platform-ready content. While Adobe Express is a great tool, bridging the gap between creativity and execution—especially for non-designers—still feels daunting. I wanted to create an add-on that could simplify this process, spark creativity, and provide intelligent direction, especially for social media visuals.

What it does -Trendify is an AI-powered assistant Add-on for Adobe Express. It allows users to: -Preview their uploaded designs inside fixed mockups for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. -Get instant AI suggestions for content based on their goal, industry, and style. -Refine suggestions with a feedback loop and personalization engine. -Preview their content in real-time and tailor it for performance across platforms.

How we built it Built using Adobe Express Add-ons SDK, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, OpenAI API, and inframe/iframe logic. The prototype includes: -A responsive template-based preview engine -Drag-and-drop upload with canvas rendering -Sidebar assistant with dropdown filters -AI suggestions using prompt + design analysis -Future-ready architecture with planned social API integration

Challenges we ran into -Making preview canvas realistic and accurate. -Creating a lightweight AI suggestion flow that fits within an add-on demo -Navigating Adobe's SDK and embedding logic efficiently

What we learned -Working with creative tools requires a fine balance between guidance and freedom. -Responsive design templates require more nuance when working with drag-and-drop + canvas layers. -Adobe Express SDK can power powerful workflows when structured cleanly.

What's next for Trendify (Adobe Express Add-on) -Preview Feature: Fixed social media templates with real-time drag-and-drop previews using HTML5 Canvas and responsive layouts. -AI Suggestions: Powered by natural language processing and computer vision, our assistant understands user prompts and analyzes designs to give smart, personalized suggestions. -Seamless UI/UX: A sidebar assistant with dropdown filters, design goal inputs, and feedback loops to personalize future interactions. -Social Media Insights: Planned integration with social media APIs for real-time trend analysis to refine design recommendations. -Launch Plan: Start with beta testing, gather creator feedback, build traction through partnerships, and continuously improve with user data. -Future Feature: A “Have AI Do It For You” option—automating the entire creative process for users who prefer quick, done-for-you solutions.
