Inspiration

Over 10 million people suffer from essential tremors in the United States alone, and 1 million people in the US suffer from Parkinson's. These patients have trouble using computer peripherals such as mice and trackpads due to their impaired motor precision. Moreover, these patients tend to be older and benefit greatly from using a computer. Using a computer not only allows these patients to communicate more with their loved ones, who may be far away, but also allows them to build communities of those that suffer from their condition. Our product aims to allow for them to more easily use computers to reap these benefits.

What it does

How we built it

It is a combination of javascript, css, and react

Challenges we ran into

Are lack of knowledge of javascript and react made the process slow and we had difficulties managing our time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have made something functional and that shows proof concept of how one could make a difference in someones life.

What we learned

All members of our team are first-time hackers. Two out of the three of us had never seen javascript before. We learned a lot about utilizing these languages, creating websites, and creating chrome extensions. In the future, we hope to further flesh out this tool and work with providers/systems to increase roll out and make a large difference.
