Inspiration
The inspiration for this project is the heat wave that many Californians have faced this week.
What it does
Our application finds the warmest areas of a city that determine where trees should be planted and where temporary heat shelters should be built.
How we built it
We built the web app using React JS as a front end and Firebase as a back end.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were incorporating place markers on map view. We read a few forums and documentation to resolve the issue.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was some of our teammates first hackathon so getting them acquainted with the process and getting rid of the nerves was a big first step.
