Inspiration

We wanted to create a website to engage readers and help them track and organize their reading.

What it does

Our website allows you to make an account* and track your reading goals, add books to your wish list, write reviews, and find new books and releases.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we faced were implementing programming concepts and formatting, such as making everything look aesthetic and making sure everything was in the correct place. We also had a custom domain name (treatyourshelf.tech), but it would take ~48 hours in order to work with our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We (3/4) were able to create a feature (within reviews) where you could drag books around. Try it, it's quite enjoyable.

What we learned

We learned how to create and implement a website with different features. We also learned how to work together and develop code as a team.

What's next for Treat Your Shelf

Next, we'd like to implement more features such as a better login system with better security and with less constraints on user account creation.
