Inspiration

My sister used to create mini startups using AI image detection and we wanted to incorporate that with sustainability in our daily lives.

What it does

Its an tracker where you can take photos of your trash and scan it, learning about how to properly throw it away while also having a reward system to keep people motivated.

How we built it

Because we are beginners, we used cursor along with openAI's API to identify certain trash items.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges regarding the scanner and how to allow it to identify a vast amount of items.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we created an actual website for our first hackathon and it was something that we are satisfied with.

What we learned

We learned that planning your idea is important and that its more about the idea and not the product.

What's next for Traxie

In the future we wish to expand Traxies connection within community, allowing users to interact with others more. We also want to expand our database allowing the API to identify more objects.
