Inspiration
The inspiration for Traverse came from the need to create an all-in-one, user-friendly trading platform that merges the simplicity of Robinhood with the power of global currency and crypto exchange. We noticed that many platforms either focus solely on crypto or traditional stocks—rarely both—leaving a gap for users who want a seamless experience with multiple asset types and real-time capabilities. Traverse was born to bridge that gap.
What it does
Traverse is a sleek, black-themed trading app that allows users to: Exchange cryptocurrencies to any global fiat currency Trade both cryptocurrencies and stocks from one unified dashboard Analyze markets using candlestick charts Execute live trades with real-time updates Connect to popular wallets like MetaMask or Trust Wallet Complete secure onboarding through KYC verification It offers a clean, modern interface tailored for beginners and professionals alike, all wrapped in a visually striking black theme.
How we built it
We built Traverse using a Bolt.new AI tool, structuring the application with: Real-time APIs for live crypto and stock market data Charting libraries to embed interactive candlestick charts Wallet integration modules for user wallet connections Authentication and KYC plugins for user verification A mobile-first, dark-themed design system for sleek UX Backend logic using visual workflows to handle trades, orders, and data sync The build was modular, scalable, and designed with flexibility in mind.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating live trading and charting tools within a no-code platform while maintaining performance Balancing simplicity with complexity—ensuring the UI is intuitive yet robust enough for advanced traders Ensuring secure wallet connections and KYC verification without compromising user experience Creating a truly global currency exchange flow, considering real-time rate fluctuations and API limitations
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully built a multi-asset exchange platform using Bolt.new Delivered a beautiful black-themed UI that enhances user engagement Enabled live trades and wallet connections without custom code Created an app experience that’s as intuitive as RobinHood for trading assets
What we learned
No-code tools are powerful, especially when paired with the right APIs and modular logic Designing a user-first experience in fintech requires balancing visual appeal with performance The importance of reliable third-party integrations (e.g., market data providers, payment/wallet tools) How crucial security and compliance (like KYC) are when handling financial transactions
What's next for Traverse
