💡 Inspiration

Whenever I plan a trip with my friends, it becomes very hard for me to keep track of my budget during the trip, and handling various bills is very hard.

💻 What it does

TeavelX is a money-splitting web app where you can keep track of your budgets and calculate how much money you have to give or take from your friends. You can send a friend request to your friends and chat with them, you can also post a blog. This web app can be very useful during trips and other occasions where calculation of budget and who pays for what is necessary.

🔨 How we built it

  • Forntend: HTML, CSS
  • Backend: Django
  • Database: CockroachDB
  • Bill Amount Extraction - Azure Form Recognizer
  • Bill Payments: COIL

Use of CockroachDB

  • We have used CockroachDB as a primary database because it is an easy-to-use, open-source and indestructible SQL database.

🔑 Auth0

  • We have used Auth0 for secure user authentication.

Most Creative Use of Twilio:

  • We are using Twilio for sending SMS messages to friends and chatrooms.

🧠 Challenges we ran into

  • Completing the project in 24 hours.

🏅 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We are happy that we completed the project in this short frame of time and we learned a lot from this hackathon
