Project Title: TravelWise – The Agentic AI Travel Companion for India

In India, daily travel comes with unnecessary struggles:

Overcharging Everywhere: Tourists, students, and elders are often charged much more than the actual fare, especially in unfamiliar areas where they don’t know the correct price.

Complex Apps: Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Ola are built for bookings, not guidance. They are English-first, data-heavy, and confusing for first-time users, elders, and rural commuters.

Public Transport Gaps: RTC buses, which millions of Indians depend on, lack real-time GPS tracking. Commuters are forced to wait at bus stops with no idea when the bus will arrive, wasting hours each week.

These challenges lead to financial loss, wasted time, and frustration — eroding trust in both private and public transport.

TravelWise was born out of a simple idea: make travel in India fair, simple, and inclusive for everyone.

What it does

TravelWise is a multi-language, AI-powered travel companion designed for Indian commuters.

Fair Fare Estimates: Provides instant and transparent auto/taxi fare estimates so no one gets overcharged.

RTC Bus GPS Tracking: Displays the live location and expected arrival of buses, preventing unnecessary waiting time.

Voice + Regional Language Support: Available in Hindi, Telugu, English, and more, making it accessible for elders, rural users, and beginners.

AI Travel Bot Assistance: Guides users with practical answers:

“Which RTC bus should I take?”

“Is this route safe at night?”

“What’s the best and cheapest way to reach my destination?”

Unlike existing apps, TravelWise does not focus on bookings. Instead, it empowers Indian commuters with transparency, simplicity, and trust.
