Inspiration

Planning trips usually takes hours of searching websites, blogs, and videos. We wanted to create a tool that instantly generates personalized itineraries based on user preferences. Our inspiration came from the idea of having an AI “travel buddy” that saves time and makes trip planning fun.

What it does

TravelTailor – AI-Powered Personal Journey Planner creates customized 3-day travel itineraries.

Users enter a destination, budget, and travel style.

The AI generates a day-by-day plan with activities, meals, and cost estimates.

(Optional) It also creates an AI travel poster for the destination to make the experience more engaging.

It’s like having a personal travel agent available 24/7, powered by Generative AI.

How we built it

We built TravelTailor using AWS PartyRock, which leverages Amazon Bedrock under the hood.

We created input fields for destination, budget, and travel style.

We added a chatbot block with a custom prompt to generate itineraries.

We added an image generator block to design travel posters.

PartyRock made it possible to build and test the app without writing heavy code, making it beginner-friendly but still powerful.

Challenges we ran into

Designing the right prompt engineering so itineraries were structured, clear, and realistic.

Balancing the output with different budgets and travel styles.

Making sure the demo was simple enough to run smoothly but still impressive.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully functional AI app in just a few hours using AWS PartyRock.

Created a tool that’s both practical and fun for travelers.
