Inspiration
The travel industry today faces fragmentation — from booking flights and hotels across multiple platforms to dealing with hidden charges and lack of transparent data sharing. Inspired by the vision of agentic analytics and the A2A (Agent-to-Agent) Protocol, we wanted to build a unified, intelligent platform that allows users to experience smart, transparent, and personalized travel planning powered by analytics and automation.
What it does
TravelSphere A2A is a decentralized travel and hotel booking platform that leverages A2A Protocol to enable direct, secure communication between travel agents, hotels, and customers — removing middlemen and inefficiencies. With Plotly Studio, we visualized: Real-time hotel occupancy and pricing analytics Flight route trends and seasonal travel demand Customer satisfaction and booking patterns using OECD Wellbeing-inspired datasets Users can explore destinations, compare trends, and make data-driven booking decisions — all in one beautiful, interactive app.
How we built it
Dataset: OECD Wellbeing + custom travel dataset under 75 MB (flight, hotel, and pricing data). Tools: Built and deployed using Plotly Studio and Plotly Cloud. Analytics: AI-generated insights on travel trends, booking predictions, and hotel availability. Visualization: Interactive charts, map plots, and time-series analytics powered by Plotly Studio. A2A Integration: Simulated A2A protocol communication for travel and hotel booking workflows.
Challenges we ran into
Optimizing dataset size while maintaining meaningful insights (< 75 MB limit). Designing intuitive dashboards within Plotly Studio’s token constraints. Integrating A2A-like communication logic into a low-code environment. Balancing visual complexity with user-friendliness and app responsiveness.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a fully functional, AI-powered data app with intuitive travel analytics. Successfully simulated A2A protocol logic for decentralized travel booking. Created a clean, modern visualization dashboard with seamless interactivity. Deployed publicly on Plotly Cloud — accessible and shareable globally.

What's next for TravelSphere A2A
Integrate live hotel and flight APIs for real-time booking data. Enable wallet-based A2A smart payments for bookings. Expand analytics to include carbon footprint tracking and sustainable travel recommendations. Publish an open-source version for developers to build their own decentralized booking agents.
