Inspiration

The world is full of hidden gems—beautiful, unexplored places that deserve recognition but remain overshadowed by mainstream tourist spots. We wanted to create a platform where people can share these secret treasures, inspiring others to explore the undiscovered beauty around them. TravelShare is all about bringing communities together to celebrate nature, culture, and the unseen marvels of the world.

What it does

TravelShare allows users to upload photos of hidden, breathtaking locations and share the location. Visitors can browse through these posts, get inspired by unique travel destinations, and even add their own discoveries. It's a community-driven platform designed to highlight lesser-known places that deserve attention.

How we built it

We used Next.js as the core framework for its excellent performance and server-side rendering capabilities. Tailwind CSS ensured seamless and responsive UI styling. Prisma handled our database queries efficiently, with PostgreSQL as the underlying database for robust data management. File uploads, including photos, were managed with Uploadthing.

What's next for TravelShare

Moving forward, I plan to focus on gaining users by actively promoting the platform through social media. I’ll work on scaling the application
