Inspiration

Finding a place to travel can be difficult, and TravelMate makes it easier.

What it does

Modeled after popular dating apps, you start by filling out your profile (your ideal type of vacation), then the website offers you previews of vacay spots that you can either discard or save to your 'matches'. Your matches, available to you through the menu bar, have more information about the travel destinations you matched with, including attractions, places to stay, and more! Also, our goal is to help the user make travel decisions that work for them- all of the links on our website lead to hotel/airbnb websites, places to get snorkel rentals, or broadway tickets, etc. This is also how the website would profit: by promoting certain hotels/airbnb websites/small businesses for local attractions.

How we built it

We used Framer to build the website and photos off the internet.

Troubleshooting around backend code features ## Accomplishments that we're proud of We're proud of UX part of our website, along with our ability to communicate as a team through the development process and roadblocks. ## What we learned We learned firsthand how everyone's talents can be used in a project to accomplish a shared goal. ## What's next for TravelMate Goals for travel mate include adding more travel destinations and making the suggestions even more personalized by asking the user more questions when setting up their profile.
