Inspiration

Planning a trip often requires switching between multiple platforms to compare flights, find hotels, manage budgets, and organize activities. I wanted to simplify this experience by building Travel_Craft, an AI-powered travel assistant that brings these tasks together in one place.

What It Does

Travel_Craft uses multiple AI agents to help users plan trips, explore flight and hotel options, discover destinations, manage budgets, and generate personalized itineraries. It also integrates PayPal Sandbox to test payment processing within the travel workflow.

How I Built It

I built Travel_Craft using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend and FastAPI for the backend. The application uses specialized AI agents for different travel-related tasks. I also implemented user authentication, external API integrations, and PayPal Sandbox payment integration.

Challenges

Some major challenges included coordinating multiple AI agents, handling inconsistent API responses, filtering irrelevant hotel results, managing authentication, and troubleshooting payment integration. Testing each component and improving error handling helped me make the application more reliable.

What I Learned

This project helped me gain practical experience in multi-agent AI systems, backend development, API integration, authentication, and payment workflows. I also learned the importance of validating external data and testing integrations carefully.

What's Next

I plan to improve travel data accuracy, expand real-time integrations, and make the overall planning and booking experience more reliable and user-friendly.
