Inspiration

When searching up travel information before a trip, it is very annoying to go through all the flight details and you have to keep on scrolling.

What it does

We came up with a way to graph details regarding a search and visualize them with AR on an iOS app.

How I built it

Built the iOS app using Amadeus's APIs to get the flight information and then use Swift4 with xCode9(beta) to graph the information onto the AR space around you.

Challenges I ran into

Parsing through the JSON file was a hassle as it wasn't very organized. Another challenge was using Apple's ARKit, we didn't really know how to use it before this so we had trouble drawing out some of the graphs nodes and edges.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of our ability to make the graphs using the new technology of ARKit and being able to display them properly without any glitches or bugs.

What's next for TravelAR

Currently, we only work with a destination, origin, and travel date; however, we would love to work on this further and expand to take all sorts of parameters when searching for travel information such as how many kids are traveling with you, what's your budget, what date do you want to return, etc.
