Inspiration
Being an avid traveler who researches extensively before every trip, I often found information scattered across platforms—Instagram reels, YouTube vlogs, blog links—all siloed and easy to miss. Each creator shares amazing location-specific tips, hacks, and recommendations, but unless you're following them on every platform, you miss out. This gap sparked the idea for a centralized, location-based interface—one that helps fans dig deeper, discover content cross-platform, and connect with creators more meaningfully. The goal: simplify travel discovery, amplify creator visibility.
What it does
TravelWithMe.today allows creators to curate and showcase their best travel and food content—YouTube videos, Instagram posts, blog links, affiliate recommendations—all mapped by location. The platform features a map-first interface for intuitive discovery, Link-in-bio functionality, and the ability to embed location maps directly into personal blogs or websites. Creators can also track page visits, view engagement metrics, and add campaign tracking to measure performance. It’s designed to bridge content and commerce, location by location.
How we built it
Built using Bolt.new, we rapidly prototyped and iterated using no-code tools, AI-assisted design, and modular components. The system is currently structured for easy post embedding, affiliate linking, and map-based UI rendering.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest ongoing challenge is automating the cross-platform content import. Currently, users manually paste public post URLs, and the system extracts metadata (title, thumbnail, etc.). Automating this across APIs with proper attribution and privacy handling remains a future milestone.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We brought a complex idea to life—80% of the vision realized in the first version. From sketch to showcase, we tackled UI complexity, map integration, and content structuring. We’re proud of how intuitive the platform feels already.
What we learned
More than anything, we learned patience and problem-solving. Building with AI and no-code tools may seem fast, but the real learning happens in the decision-making, debugging, and creative workarounds. Execution > idea.
What's next for Travel With Me today
We’re just getting started. Here’s what’s coming next:
Seamless Cross-Platform Sync: Automating content import from Instagram, YouTube, and blogs to make it effortless for creators to build their map-first profiles.
Creator Commerce & Brand Integration: Partnering with travel brands, tour operators, and DMCs to host interactive itineraries, showcase real experiences, and sell curated trips directly.
Localized Affiliate Ecosystem: Expanding into hyperlocal affiliate partnerships, so creators can monetize content through region-specific recommendations—from gear to food tours.
Next-Gen Link-in-Bio for Travel & Food: A bold reimagining of the link-in-bio model, built specifically for creators whose stories revolve around places and experiences.
Exclusive Content Layer : Exploring a premium subscription model—think OnlyFans for travel & food—where creators can share behind-the-scenes, early access, or premium itineraries for paying subscribers.
