TravelTime

Inspiration

It is a hassle to constantly check bus timings early in the morning when you're leaving your dorm room and rushing for classes while also trying to keep an eye on the next bus on your mobile devices. Travel Time is our solution to the problem.

What it does

Travel Time solves this problem by prominently displaying the time to your next bus at a close-by location or any other location you input with a user-friendly and appealing device.

How we built it

We used an Arduino Uno and ESP8266 and made use of their UART, GPIO, and Wifi modules to access online APIs and display relevant information on 7-segment displays and an LED screen.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges in serial communication between the arduino and ESP8266 and also working with APIs.

What we learned

Working with serial communication, wifi modules, 3D printing, wood work, and LED displays.
