What is the problem your solution addresses?

It’s not the most convenient task to spatially track all the places you have traveled to while also keeping dedicated journal and photo entries for those particular locations, and keeping notes of things you should remember for future visits. As time passes, certain locations or specific memories about the places you’ve visited may start to fade away in your memory, making the task of recalling even more of a challenge. You also may want to know any tips other people who are travelers like yourself want other travelers to know about certain locations so you can better prepare yourself.

The problem our app Travel Tales addresses is the problem of not being able to have a convenient way to track the specific details of places we’ve traveled to, and forgetting particular things that can be useful when traveling to certain places again.

Why did you pick this solution, and how does it address the problem?

We chose this solution because despite not traveling often, we have gaps in our memories regarding places we have gone and wished we could’ve had a convenient all in one app to track the details. The app Travel Tales addresses the problem by allowing users to log each place they’ve traveled to on a map, as well as write journal entries about their experiences and post tips for themselves and future travelers.

As time passes, users can easily look back on a list of places they’ve been to with dates attached, re-read what their experiences there were, and recall tips to remember for potential future trips. Looking at the locations they’ve traveled to or want to travel to, the user can utilize other user’s posted tips about potential spots they’d like to visit to be prepared.
