Inspirations
Our inspiration was our desires to travel and visit these kind of attractions, and seeing how recommended attractions are processed behind the scenes gave us a better insight into how we should plan future trips.
What it does
It analyzes the Google reviews for different attractions in Europe and provide some analytics.
How we built it
We built it using Python and data science packages such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matlab Library, and Excel.
Challenges we ran into
Clusterization was a huge hurdle for us because it was our first time attempting a data challenge and implementing different kinds of analysis to our data. It was also a challenge to come up an in-depth research question based on how little data provided to us but we anticipated
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completing a complex analysis such as clusterization, and creating a program that could go through all 5 and a half thousand rows to process and clean the data for our question.
What we learned
We learned the entire Python framework for data science and applying the basics of data science to data.
What's next for Travel Reviews in Europe
Next is to supplement the data provided with popular tourist locations and program a more varied and complex analysis of the data to come up with more interesting and useful answers.
