EraVel is a trip sharing platform for travelers to share their original trips together

Inspiration

  • We spend a lot of time preparing luggages and researching for plans for our next trip
  • Those time can be saved when we plan and prepare together
  • So how about creating a platform for travelers to share their trips together

What it does

  • Match travelers and individual trip organizers together on the day
  • Explain the details of the trip by spots
  • Allow travelers to reserve or publish a trip on the day
  • Provide a brand new experience of traveling other than the package tours

How we built it

  • We had 3 brainstorm sessions to collect ideas and check them
  • We divided our hacking time into several Sprints through agile development method,
  • We developed our products with API based on Scrum development process.

Challenges we ran into

  • Use Cloudinary API to develop iOS application
  • Integrate AI to recognize information from images

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We made a great team
  • We decided a clear mission
  • We realized agile development through scrum
  • We collaborated together to make a great product
  • We learnt a lot from each other

What we learned

  • How to make a brainstorming and maximize our contribution to the team
  • How to integrate different APIs together in an iOS application
  • How important showing ideas and inspire people
  • How important making priority of different tasks

What's next for EraVel

  • Find early adopters and create awesome free trips with them together
  • Create a sustainable business model based on the feedback of our early uses
  • Raise awareness of social issues through those trips
