Inspiration

We have troubles finding places to eat, attractions to see, transportation, etc. We want to have a complete plan of what to do and where to eat for each day of traveling

What it does

Hopwise is a travel planner that helps you plan a trip by recommending attractions, hotels, and transportation for your destination.

• The app will also provide info about weather forecast, safety tips, and crime level of the destination for the users to avoid.
• The app also presents top restaurants and foods to try.
• Finally the app generates the detailed overall plan for traveling during the stay .

Further, there is an AI chatbot for talking with customers and recommending travel tips to them.

How we built it

We built using AWS PartyRock. Claude (LLM) allowed us to analyze text inputs of the users. The combination of Claude (LLM) and AWS PartyRock provides a comprehensive and secure platform for web development. PartyRock presents great font end and needed display for all the features of our app.

Challenges we ran into

We had challenges to come up with ideas that work and are useful for people. We also had challenges to design the app with functions that are beneficial for users and can guide them through the whole travel planning process.

We also had challenge to build the UI of the app to be user friendly and easy to understand. We tested the app various times to see if it works well with so many functions and generated responses for the users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build a comprehensive app for travel planning. We feel that this app is easy to use, useful for comprehensive travel planning and can help thousands of people have better plan for what to come when they travel. The app addresses the concern of the users such as weather, safety, food, travel means, lodges, etc.

What we learned

We learnt how to build app using AWS PartyRock. We learned how to use Claude (LLM) as natural language processing to analyze text and integrate it with PartyRock AWS. We learnt to optimize the performance of the app and design the app to be user friendly and easy to use.

What's next for Hopwise

We want to add more useful function for the app:

• Multiple Photos of places and destinations where the app recommends users to travel to
• Booking section for users to book directly through the app the hotels, restaurants, flights, etc.
• Reminders to users about different schedules of their trips
• Chat forum for users to ask other users for advice and discuss
