Inspiration💡

I wanted to build this website to create something that allows users to create and share travel-related blogs.

What it does🤔

Travel Memoir is a website that allows users to share their travel experience, journey, and favorite places using images and text. Users can read others' stories and share their stories as well. To write blog users have to create an account. The other thing they can do is play our mini-puzzle. I believe this puzzle could help people know some places around the world in a fun way.

How we built it⚙️

The website is done using react js, node js, MongoDB. For the game part, I used javascript with HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into😤

The main challenge was it usually crashes when people try to create an account or publish their project and I couldn't solve that issue. If it crashes, just reload it and it will work fine. The other thing is that I wanted to add more features but due to the time and our skill sets, I couldn't add more amazing features to it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of✨

I am happy that I'm a part of VolHacks.

What we learned🙌

I learned how to make a puzzle game with javascript. I also learned about reactjs and MongoDB.

What's next for Travel memoir 🚀

The main thing I want to add is to chat and comment functionalities for users to interact. I also want to refactor the code as I couldn't hit so much under 48 hrs. Overall, I hope that one day this project can be widely used globally.
