Travel Buddy

Inspiration

I love traveling and I have been to many places around the world. Whenever I am asked and or told which place was my favorite? It gets hard to look through a notes app and or look at images. I wanted to build an application that helps with this and could also help others. As well as be able to access social media as well.

What it does

Keeps track of countries and places you've been to around the world.

How we built it

We used a combination of UX/UI designing and MongoDB to help us store data.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges using MongoDB and figuring out how we could combine it using Express and JavaScript. Building the backend was very hard. Figuring out as well how to use an interactive map was a very difficult challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are both proud of the work we did with all the different languages we used this is the first time for both of us at a Hackathon and we are very proud of the work both of us did together.
